With Love - Magnolia Vs Stampavie Sketch 13

Hallelujah !!! I DID IT !!!
At 9:30 this morning I decided to have a go at the Magnolia Vs Stampavie challenge. Well as you may have read in my posts before I'm always moaning about how slow I am at making cards, so the challenge for me was to see if I could actually finish the card in time to enter (the new challenge is posted tomorrow, Sunday). Well I decided to go with a Sarah Kay stamp and here she is...

Sorry about the pictures, just couldn't seem to get the light right, oh well.
1. Base card Stardream Purple Punch pearlescent card.
2. DP's by The English Paper Company Siesta collection.
3. The top DP was mounted onto the same card as the base card.
4. The stamp is called Roses' Garden and was coloured in with Derwent Coloursoft and Sansador. The button, stones, garden tools and the center of the flowers where dabbed with Sakura clear Gellyroll Glaze pen. I also use Staedtler triplus fineliner pens on the grass and foliage. This was cut out with the long Megabilities.
5. The image was then mounted four times onto 3 different colour pink Bazzil card stock. Why so many? Because I couldn't make up my mind which colour I liked best, so I used them all (as you do) and the last layer was punched with Martha Stewart Doily punch. It was then stuck down using 2mm black foam pads.
6. Pink dusky rose ribbon edged both sides with white cotton lace.
7. Pink mulberry roses
8. The label was stamped on to pink card that was then cut out using the long megabilities. The stamp is from Hobby Art stamps and was first inked up with ColorBox catseye "Orchid" then I gently inked the top and bottom of the words with ColorBox catseye "Chianti". I stuck it down then realised I had wanted to sponge the edges of the label to "lift" it. SOooooooooo, I got the card I'd cut the label from, fitted it back onto the cut out, then I was able to sponge away to my hearts content with out getting ink on the DP, ha haaaa (where there's a will...). Then I just added a little bow, because I felt like it :)
By the way, have you seen the new Whiff Of Joy stamps (they came out today)? They are sooooo cute, and I couldn't help myself, I ordered the Banquet Hall, Maid Charlotte, King's Jester Charlie, and I just couldn't resist Draco the Dragon he's FAB-U-LOUS. Any hoo I'm off to post my entry.
Take care & keep smiling
