Rupert the Bear 75th Birthday card for my Dad

Today my Dad is 75 years young and of course we had to celebrate it with Rupert, a childhood favourite (and still is) ...

The background image is from the end papers of a Rupert annual, the one on the front was printed on Ilford Galerie smooth pearl photo paper and the one inside was faded down and printed on normal smooth white card.
The Rupert and name image was sourced from the web, printed off (in reverse) at the size required, traced, transferred to smooth white card and gone over with a waterproof black ink pen and then coloured in with Derwents Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor. The fence and his standing leg didn't exist in the original picture, those were made by me. The daisies and oak leaves were made with a punch, the acorns are Dress It Up buttons and the Bluebells were made with a Sakura flower punch and green wire.
The balloon image inside again was sourced from the web, as were the images of Bill Badger, Pong Ping, the birthday cake and the 75 but these again were traced, transferred, inked and colored by me. The box I bought from a card shop but I stripped the top and recovered it in yellow paper and drew on the checks.
Here are the images I used to make the card ...

Birthday card for my Son - Christian Dior - Birthday card for a man

My son collects Christian Dior ties and accessories, so this card was made with this passion of his in mind and it also reflects where he lives ...
BOX - The Dior name and bee are Dior logo's and were sourced from the internet, printed off, traced and then hand cut. The "Homme" backing paper was computer generated.

FRONT OF CARD - The London background was sourced from the internet and printed off. The Dior name was printed onto acetate and mounted on white card. The tie and tie pin are handmade. The man was a picture of a model that again was printed off, traced 'round and then coloured in using a black marker pen.

INSIDE CARD - Computer generated and the word style was gone over with an Atyou glitter pen and the gone over several times with a glaze pen.
Here are some of the pictures that inspired this card, I've also added the man silhouette as that was made by me and does not have a copyright.
 Take care and keep smiling
